Community Activities

WE ARE A COMMUNITY THAT LEARNS & HAS FUN TOGETHER – JOIN US!

When you connect with the Fallen Timbers Chapter at one of the events we hold across the region, you’re stepping into a community that cares about the rivers in our region, brings people together to make a difference and learn new skills, and creates opportunities to have fun with like-minded anglers and conservationists.

Our community events are fun, friendly and low-pressure ways to have fun while doing good, growing your fishing skills and making new friends along the way. Each year we offer:

  • Fishing trips on local rivers and streams where experienced angler hosts share their knowledge
  • Conservation Banquet, usually at Rockwell Springs Trout Club in Castalia, OH in early November
  • Social nights like fly tying events, fly fishing films and meet-ups at area breweries

Check out our calendar of events and join us!

CONSERVATION BANQUET

Join us for our conservation banquet held at Rockwell Springs Trout Club in near Castalia, OH. We have fishing at the club, a sit-down dinner, drinks, raffles and a silent auction. There are also a limited number of hotel-like rooms available on-site at the club. All funds raised are used to fund our local chapters activities, including Trout-in-the-Classroom. We also accept donations of fishing related and non-fishing related items to be raffled off or put in our auction. Please contact us if you have something to donate for our next banquet!

LOCAL FISHING TRIPS

The best way to learn new waters and grow your fishing skills is by spending time with the experienced anglers of the Fallen Timbers Chapter. That’s why our regular, local fishing trips are some of our best-attended activities. Held throughout the year and aimed at helping you learn where to fish, how to fish and when to fish our favorite streams in the region, these trips are great places to bring your family and friends for a fun time on the water!

SOCIAL EVENTS & NIGHTS OUT

Throughout the year we host a range of events designed to create fun, social opportunities for people who love fishing and caring for our rivers to come together. From our popular winter “Barflies” tying nights, to larger events like the annual Fly Fishing Film Festival screening, we invite everyone to join us and become part of our vibrant and growing angling community here in Northwest Ohio.
